Privacy at GuestMemoir

GuestMemoir is designed to collect event photos without requiring guest accounts.

What is collected

For an event, we store the uploaded image, upload time, file details, and an optional contributor name if the guest chooses to provide one. We do not require guest email addresses or social accounts.

Who can see the photos

Photos are stored in a private storage bucket. The couple’s album requires its event PIN. An event owner may optionally enable a guest gallery; when enabled, people holding the event’s current guest link can view shared thumbnails.

Links and QR codes

New events use a private event key inside the QR link. The owner can rotate that key, which invalidates older secured guest links for future uploads.

Deletion

Couples can move photos to Trash and restore them. Permanent deletion removes the stored photo. The owner can permanently delete an entire event and its stored photos from the Owner Studio.

Operational data

Short-lived album and owner session tokens are stored as one-way hashes. Event pages are marked not to be indexed by search engines.
